I
started making Clickable Bombshells back in 1996. At first
it was just on my personal space with my ISP. As I began
working on Bombshells more and more, and seeing what was
available on the web, I decided I needed to look into
more space to let the Bombshells roam freely. I was disappointed
with the many sites I saw that were dedicated to Classic
Actresses of the 1930's - 1950's, mainly because they
were merely photo galleries, with little content other
than, "Gee, wasn't she purty?" I wanted to create a site
that would bring as much joy to people who were experiencing
these fine actresses for the first time, as I have experienced
them and their performances for most of my life. I also
wanted to make Bombshells be a repository so that these
very special ladies of the cinema would not be forgotten.
Since
the early days of Bombshells the site has grown. We now
feature besides the Clickable Bombshells, a very full
and complete section of information on Betty Grable and
Jayne Mansfield, who in my opinion are two of the most
under-rated actresses of this time period. Also, a new
addition to the site is the Bombshells Galleries, which
feature many Starlets from the past, along with Biographical,
Filmographical and other valuable information about the
actresses. We also offer Bombshell Greeting Cards, to
send a personalized note to your loved ones. Just like
a card shop, pick your greeting along with the image,
send it off...what could be more simple? Songs of the
Sirens is an area we are particularly fond of. This area
features our favorite Bombshells warbling some fantastic
tunes of yesterday!
Hopefully
you will experience the same amount of joy from your visit,
as I experience making it. If you want to drop me a note.
Thanks
for visitng! Come up and see us again soon!
Love,
The Goddess (but you can call me Dawn Marie)
